STITCH DEPARTMENT

Stitch Department is a local clothing practice that is passionate about the environmental impact of the fashion and textiles industry. That's why we strive to encourage you all to sew, mend and generally slow down the fashion process!

We run several sewing workshops at Department in Ryde, a former ladies department store that is soon to be transformed into a community arts space!

Our workshops welcome everyone, with a range of classes and a great chance to be with like minded sewers and get excited about your projects!

Giving you time and space to be together, build relationships, and re-set the nervous system whilst mindfully crafting, your host, Mrs B, founder of Wight Apothecary, brings a fun and welcoming atmosphere to your gathering where you can relax and enjoy the soulful experience of creating.

Our workshops go beyond teaching you how to craft an object. With the guidance of Mrs B, your group will leave feeling rested, re-energised, and more connected to each other.
