Lindy moles
Lyndy is taking a step back from exhibiting for a while to concentrate on analogue techniques, experimenting with natural processes, printing and both altered and artists’ books.
A personal permission, at the intersection of creativity, the natural world and the climate crisis; allowing time to return to what has been an underlying but somewhat neglected area of her artist’s practice.
With work inspired by really looking at minutiae in the landscape, Lyndy hopes to counter the effects of nature deficit disorder and the loss of associated knowledge; an epistemicide happening all around us.
Lyndy’s mixed media work includes anything from natural finds, metal, beach litter to textiles with additional drawing and printing on varied backgrounds including plant-dyed paper. At times, a piece of work involves many failed experiments before something unique happens!
Do pop in and see what Lyndy is up to.

EMMA GOSs & JAY CHAPMAN
Emma Goss and Jay Chapman are creatives based in Packs Studio working under the business name Tuesday Sunshine. Emma's practice spans three main strands: murals, sign writing, and T-shirt/clothing printing. Her murals can be found across the island, and she recently co-created the Ryde Arts Trail through Community Murals, which she runs with collaborator Hollie Jackson. She was also part of the teams behind the Columbine Building mural in East Cowes and the Sheltered project on Appley Beach. Sign writing is a newer but meaningful addition to her practice, allowing her to create traditional, long-lasting pieces including A-boards, signs, and house names. Together with her partner Jay, she also runs Tuesday Sunshine – Design Print Wear, offering custom clothing design and printing from one-off T-shirts to full workwear runs tailored to each client.

Contemporary jewellery made with years of experience, passion and eclectic inspiration
Nancye has created and sold jewellery in many different places but, having recently moved to the Isle of Wight, feels she has found her roots in the sand of its wonderful beaches.
The materials she uses are traditional, silver, gold, brass, copper, bronze, gilding metal and gemstones but her techniques are original and inspired by the subject and process.
Her jewellery comes in several ranges, all inspired by her surroundings. ORB (archaeology), SEA URCHIN (Maltese), STANDING STONE (Maltese neolithic temples), STONEWALL (red sandstone walls in and around Brampton in the Eden Valley). Cumbria also inspired her obsession with geology and stones as well as STRATA and PLANETS which is the most recent. BEADSCAPES came from being away from her bench during lockdown. Using beautiful Japanese glass beads and silk cord, she ‘painted a landscape with beads’ having seen so much of the streets and fells around Keswick during the permitted walks.
The Isle of Wight is now her current muse and the latest obsession is, of course, fossil hunting. Her recent move to a studio space in Department is inspiring new work which you will be able to see in her studio window.
